Description

Maker and Hacker space workshops are uniquely dangerous environments.
As if the dizzying array of unfamiliar tools weren't bad enough, the
small crowd of people working on different projects with little
coordination between them is a recipe for certain disaster. This class
will teach you how to work and play in a workshop, safely. We will
start out by discussing specific strategies and concepts everyone in a
workshop should be aware of, and then move through the makeshop,
discussing how to use various commonly used tools safely.

    • Do not create the Event as the "Makers Local 256" page. Create the Event in "Friends and Members of Makers Local 256." Follow the next step, it is very important.
      • When creating a facebook event AS the makers group on facebook, on the very first pop up screen there will be an option to make the event public vs. only for the facebook group. It will not let you change the event to public after you've created it, so create with caution.
